Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines have partnered to equip secondary school students in Ethiopia with skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through their STEM School programme.

The fourth edition of the programme, which ran from July 13 to August 21 at the Ethiopian Aviation University, provided over 300 hours of immersive learning to Grade 11 students.

The six-week course combined classroom instruction, practical exposure, internships, and mentorship, with a focus on preparing participants for careers in aviation, engineering, and technology-driven industries.

Notably, half of the participants in this year's programme were young women, reflecting efforts to promote greater female participation in STEM-related professions.
