Boeing and Ghana Team Up for National Airline Revival
Ghana is set to revive its national airline within an 18-month window under a proposed partnership with Boeing, a global aerospace leader.
The timeline was outlined after diplomatic and corporate talks between President John Dramani Mahama and senior Boeing leadership in New York City on the fringes of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Boeing officials have signaled their readiness to collaborate with the Ghanaian government, but emphasized that the estimated 18-month rollout remains conditional on Accra establishing the necessary legal frameworks, operational structures, and implementation mechanisms.
President Mahama aims to forge a deeper collaboration with Boeing, not just for aircraft purchases, but to build an aviation ecosystem in Ghana, creating skilled jobs, transferring technology, and positioning the country as an aviation hub for West Africa.
