Boeing and Turkish Airlines Secure Record 737 MAX Order

Boeing and Turkish Airlines have finalized an order for up to 150 737 MAX jets, solidifying their long-standing partnership. The agreement follows a record purchase of 787 Dreamliners by the airline in 2025.

The deal includes the purchase of 100 737-8 airplanes, with options for an additional 50 737 MAX jets. Turkish Airlines will also have substitution rights for the 737-10 variant to meet growing demand on high-passenger routes.

According to Prof Murat Şeker, Turkish Airlines' chairman of the board and executive committee, the new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will bring greater efficiency and flexibility to their operations, supporting their extensive network from Istanbul.

The agreement also includes industrial participation, demonstrating Boeing's continued commitment to the Turkish aviation ecosystem. The 737 MAX family reduces fuel use and emissions by 20% compared to previous models, enabling lower operating costs for the airline.
