Boeing Bags $20 Billion Navy Fighter Jet Contract
Boeing has secured a significant contract from the U.S. Navy to develop its next-generation carrier-based fighter, F/A-XX, worth over $20 billion.
The F/A-XX will replace the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler, operating alongside the F-35C and unmanned combat aircraft, with a scheduled service entry in the 2030s.
This marks Boeing's second consecutive win of a U.S. sixth-generation fighter project, following its success in the F-47 project awarded to the company in March 2025.
