Boeing Bags Multi-Billion Dollar Contract for Revolutionary F/A-XX Fighter

Boeing has secured a significant contract from the US Navy to produce the F/A-XX, its first sixth-generation fighter platform.

The award, worth multiple billions of dollars, is part of Boeing's efforts to replace the Navy's fleet of F/A-18 Super Hornets with more advanced aircraft.

The new fighter will boast open mission systems architecture, advanced mission systems, and enhanced operational reach and capacity.

This marks Boeing's second sixth-generation fighter win, following its selection for the US Air Force's F-47 program in 2025.

Boeing Defense CEO Steve Parker stated that delivering two advanced fighters in parallel was always the plan, and the company has invested accordingly to meet this goal.
