Boeing Bolsters Credit Lines Amid Union Strike Threat
Boeing's financial foundation is getting a boost as it navigates labor challenges. The aerospace giant has secured a new $3 billion, 364-day revolving credit facility with Citibank and JPMorgan Chase as arrangers.
The deal was finalized on August 24, 2026, and will extend through August 23, 2027. This new facility is in addition to two five-year credit facilities that Boeing modified by extending their term to 365 days each.
One of these existing facilities has $4 billion in aggregate commitments with a new maturity date of May 15, 2030, while the other preserves $3 billion in commitments and now expires on August 24, 2029. A newly implemented covenant requires Boeing to maintain minimum liquidity levels of $5 billion.
The credit facilities come as Boeing faces potential labor disruptions following a union vote rejecting a proposed four-year contract. Union leadership plans to reconvene on Monday to negotiate further.
