A Boeing 767 cargo plane operated by Prime Air reportedly overran a runway at Miami International Airport (MIA) in Florida on September 6, 2026.

The incident occurred while the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had imposed a temporary inbound ground stop due to runway and surface constraints. The restriction was in effect from about 2:02 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT.

Air traffic control reports indicated that arriving flights were experiencing airborne delays of 15 minutes or less, with departure traffic for MIA not allowed to depart until 3:00 p.m. EDT due to a 'RWY-TAXI / DISABLED AIRCRAFT' issue.
