Boeing Co. has secured US regulatory approval for its 737 Max 10 jet, marking the end of a long certification process for the aircraft family. The approval comes after years of setbacks, including two fatal crashes and repeated quality issues. The 737 Max 10 is the largest variant in Boeing’s single-aisle lineup and is designed to compete directly with Airbus SE’s A321neo.
The Max 10 has already garnered over 1,500 orders, making it one of the most popular models in the Max series. Major US carriers, including United Airlines Holdings Inc. and Alaska Air Group Inc., have placed orders for the aircraft. The approval follows the certification of the smaller 737 Max 7 variant, which received FAA approval in August.
