Boeing Cuts Jobs in India Amid Global Restructuring Efforts

Boeing has reportedly laid off around 180 employees in India as part of its global restructuring efforts. The layoffs primarily affect the company's Engineering & Technology Center in Bengaluru, which is one of Boeing's largest facilities outside the US.

The move comes despite continued investments in India, where Boeing currently employs about 7,000 people. While some roles have been eliminated, new ones have also been created to maintain customer service, safety, and quality standards.

Boeing's wholly-owned engineering and technology campus in Bengaluru is a crucial hub for advanced aerospace projects, with the company partnering with India's defense ecosystem to advance indigenous manufacturing.
