The US Embassy in Dhaka has welcomed a scheduled agreement between Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Boeing for the purchase of 11 additional commercial aircraft. According to an official social media post from the embassy, this deal is seen as a win-win for bilateral relations.

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen tweeted that he would be following the signing ceremony in New York later in the day. The ceremony is scheduled at 4:30 pm New York time on September 23 (2:30 am Bangladesh time on September 24) on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly.

The latest deal aims to add to Biman's aircraft procurement plans as the national flag carrier looks to expand and modernize its fleet.
