Boeing Deliveries Drop to 53 in July Amid Strong Demand

Boeing's commercial aircraft deliveries dropped in July, despite strong demand for its planes. The company handed over 53 jets during the month, which is below June's total of 64 deliveries. Airbus, on the other hand, delivered 67 commercial aircraft in July.

The breakdown of Boeing's deliveries shows that it sent out 39 737 MAX jets, 10 787 Dreamliners, one 777 freighter, and three 767s. So far this year, Boeing has delivered a total of 367 aircraft, including 279 737 MAX and 50 787s.

Boeing also recorded 38 gross orders in July, but eight cancellations offset some of that demand, resulting in 30 net orders. The company saw significant bookings for its 737 MAX and 787 models, with several orders announced during the Farnborough International Airshow.

The largest announcement was from SMBC Aviation Capital, which ordered 100 737 MAX aircraft, including 60 737-10s and 40 737-8s. Boeing says that the 737-10 has now accumulated more than 130 orders this year.
