Boeing Delivers First Full-Rate Production Order for Grey Wolf Helicopters
Boeing secured its first full-rate production order for the MH-139A Grey Wolf helicopter, delivering four new aircraft to the U.S. Air Force as part of a $85 million contract.
The order is significant because it marks the beginning of the full-rate production phase, which will see regular deliveries of the Grey Wolf helicopters to the Air Force.
The aircraft will replace the aging UH-1N Huey in its nuclear missile security mission, providing improved speed and range. The MH-139A is a militarized version of Leonardo's commercial AW139.
