Boeing Delivery Pace Slows Amid Efforts to Boost MAX Production

Boeing's delivery pace slowed in July as the company delivered 53 airplanes, down from 60 and 64 in May and June, respectively. The decrease was largely due to a drop in deliveries of its best-selling 737 MAX model, which fell to 39 from 51 in May.

The MAX deliveries have been affected by Boeing's efforts to increase production after safety regulators lifted a cap on monthly production in October. Boeing is aiming to stabilize production at 47 MAXs per month before increasing it to 52.

Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg expressed his satisfaction with the company's progress, stating that teams are 'increasing production and delivering at levels we have not seen since 2018.'
