Archer Aviation has acquired three Boeing subsidiaries in a deal that will give Boeing nearly a 20% stake in the air taxi company.

The subsidiaries, Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid, will help Archer further diversify its portfolio across defense, drones, and advanced air mobility operations.

Adam Goldstein, Founder and CEO of Archer, called the deal a 'watershed moment' for the California-based air taxi developer.

The acquisition will create an 'end-to-end' aerospace and defense platform for Archer, composed of eVTOL aircraft, drones, and AI technology and air traffic management systems to run that network.
