Boeing Employees Build Homes for Veterans with Tiny Home Projects

Twenty-five Boeing employees from the Air Dominance division spent a day volunteering at the Veterans Community Project of Saint Louis, a nonprofit founded by combat veterans to help solve veteran homelessness. This effort is part of Boeing's commitment to supporting transitioning service members, veterans, and their families.

The volunteers worked on tiny home projects, helping to build homes for veterans in need. According to Deshauna Barber-Echols, executive director of the Veterans Community Project, 60-70% of the labor that goes into completing a single tiny home is performed by volunteers.

Boeing's volunteer work has had a significant impact on getting veterans off the street and into safe homes. In 2026 alone, Boeing completed over 300 hours of volunteer work assisting with tiny home projects.

Joe Navarro, a U.S. Army veteran who served for 23 years and is a system engineer at Boeing Air Dominance, was proud to represent Boeing during this volunteer event. He noted that organizations like the Veterans Community Project are vital to veteran communities and that he was happy to contribute his time and effort to support veterans in need.
