Boeing Engineers Approve Contracts, Averting Strike
Boeing's engineers and technical workers have narrowly approved new four-year contracts, averting a potential strike that could have threatened the certification of the 777-9 and 737 MAX 10.
The vote was held on October 1st, with the professional unit approving its contract by 67.62% (7,895 to 3,780) and the technical unit passing its deal by 53.48% (2,061 to 1,793).
The new contracts include an immediate 10% pay raise from October 2nd and a further 4% increase in March 2027, followed by annual wage pools.
According to the Lynnwood Times, the average base salaries for professional unit members will rise from around $152,000 to approximately $208,000 over the contract period, while technical unit members' salaries will increase from about $119,000 to $163,000.
