Boeing Engineers Set to Vote on New Contract Offer with Wage Hikes
Boeing engineers and technical workers are set to vote on the company's latest contract offer. The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) is recommending that its members accept the deal, but union representatives warn that there may be limitations.
The proposed four-year contract includes a 10% guaranteed wage increase this year and a 4% hike next year. From 2028 through 2030, Boeing has offered a 6% annual wage pool. The current contract expires on October 6, and union members have until then to approve or reject the new offer.
The SPEEA Bargaining Unit Councils for both the Professional and Technical units voted in favor of recommending the contract, but with some reservations. While most covered employees are based in Washington state, the union also represents workers in Oregon, California, and Utah.
