Boeing Engineers' Union Backs Latest Four-Year Contract Offer
The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) has recommended that its members accept Boeing's latest contract offer.
The proposed four-year agreement includes higher general wage increases than an earlier offer rejected by members in August.
Boeing and the union reached the new tentative agreement following further negotiations, which took place after members voted against the company's previous proposal on August 21st.
The union's Professional and Technical bargaining councils stated that the latest offers meet most of the needs identified by members and are recommending that they vote in favour of the agreements.
