Boeing Lands $131-Billion Contract for US Air Force's F-15 Program
The US Air Force has awarded Boeing a massive contract worth $131.2 billion to manage its F-15 Eagle Crest project, a multi-year purchasing framework for the F-15 fighter aircraft program.
The contract will fund new aircraft production and coordinate fleet modernization, including updates to hardware and software, as well as integrating advanced flight control and weapons systems.
The award is structured as an 'indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity' contract, which means that Boeing will receive funds as needed over the next 11 years, through 2037. The Pentagon has obligated $343,740 in FY 2026 research, development, test, and evaluation funds.
The F-15 is a twin-engine, tactical fighter jet used by the US Air Force to gain and maintain air supremacy over the battlefield. It's also assigned for long-range strike and homeland defense missions.
