Boeing has secured a major contract valued at up to $14.7 billion from Lockheed Martin. The deal, announced on 5 October 2026, is a seven-year undefinitised contract aimed at ramping up production of seekers for the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptor. The PAC-3 MSE is a critical component of the Patriot air-defence system, known for its hit-to-kill interception capabilities.

The contract supports a framework agreement Boeing signed with the Pentagon in April 2026. That agreement sought to triple the output of seekers, aligning with the heightened demand for air defence systems among Western allies. The specifics of unit quantities were not disclosed in the announcement.
