Boeing Lands $174M Contracts from US Navy, Air Force

Boeing has secured two major contracts worth $174 million from the US Navy and Air Force, according to a Pentagon notice released on August 20. The first deal with the Navy involves supplying up to 31 P-8A engine build-up kits, along with other engine components, for $156 million.

The P-8 aircraft is used for various purposes, including anti-submarine warfare, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, maritime domain awareness, and search and rescue. Work on this contract will be performed in Tukwila, Washington, and is expected to be completed by August 2031.

Separately, Boeing has been awarded $17.6 million by the Air Force to install an electronic warfare system in some F-15 fighter-jet training equipment for Japan's military. This contract includes software development and testing, as well as updates to simulator software and courseware development for aircrew and aircraft maintenance.

Work on this second contract will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by February 28, 2031. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio awarded the contract.
