Boeing Lands $41.5M in Defense Contracts with US Department of War
Aerospace giant Boeing has secured two major defense contracts worth $41.5 million from the U.S. Department of War, as announced on Monday.
The first contract, valued at $11.8 million, is a modification to an existing agreement for support services related to Kuwait's F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircraft. This six-month extension will cover logistics, management, and maintenance support before the aircraft are transported to Kuwait.
The work under this contract will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana (70%), and Jacksonville, Florida (30%), with completion expected in March 2027. The contract will be funded through Foreign Military Sales customer funds.
In a separate order, Bell Boeing Joint Project Office received $29.7 million for loads and dynamics model data covering all V-22 variants. This technical data will support future sustainment decisions, mishap investigations, transition to post-production sustainment, and Fleet Support Team repair and maintenance of V-22 aircraft.
The order will be performed in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania (60%), Fort Worth, Texas (30%), and Amarillo, Texas (10%), with completion scheduled for March 2030. The order will be funded using fiscal 2025 procurement funds totaling $10.3 million and fiscal 2026 procurement funds of $19.4 million.
