Malaysia Airlines is nearing an agreement to purchase Boeing's 787 Dreamliners as part of its plan to replace its long-haul fleet. According to sources familiar with the matter, Malaysia Aviation Group is likely to order around ten 787-10s.

The carrier has chosen Boeing over Airbus SE due to earlier delivery slots starting in 2031. Additionally, GE Aviation offered better engine terms compared to Rolls-Royce Holdings Plc, which contributed to Boeing's selection.
