Boeing Lands Massive F-15 Contract, Lockheed Martin May Benefit

Boeing has secured a massive contract worth up to $131.2 billion to upgrade and produce more F-15 fighter jets for the US Air Force.

This deal is significant not only for Boeing but also for Lockheed Martin, which produces its own line of fighter jets, including the F-16.

The contract shows that the Department of Defense (DoD) is committed to extending the lifespan of successful avionics platforms, and global defense budgets are soaring, with the White House requesting fiscal 2027 defense outlays of $1.5 trillion.

Lockheed Martin may benefit from this deal as it produces the F-16, which is still considered a valuable asset by the Air Force, despite some upgrades being canceled in recent years.
