Boeing has appointed Ryan L. Shedd as its new Principal Accounting Officer, effective after the company files its 2026 Form 10-K. This move is part of a planned succession process that will see current controller Michael J. Cleary retire in 2027.

Cleary, who has spent over two decades at Boeing and has been senior vice president and controller since March 2023, will hand over the reins to Shedd after a transition period. The new Principal Accounting Officer brings nearly two decades of experience from Ernst & Young LLP to his new role, where he will oversee Boeing's financial leadership in Seattle.

Shedd will join Boeing as senior vice president and controller in September 2026, with a base salary of $600,000, plus incentive and long-term awards. He will also receive a $300,000 sign-on bonus and relocation support to facilitate his move.
