Boeing has made a new offer to its engineers and scientists union, SPEEA, in an effort to avoid a potential strike. The company's latest proposal includes across-the-board wage increases of 10% effective October 16 and 4% in March 2027, followed by annual wage increases averaging 6% from 2028-2030.

The union estimates that wages would increase 36.3% on average over the four-year term of the proposed agreement, up from 29.4% in the rejected offer. Boeing also proposes more significant limits on mandatory overtime for professional unit members and commits to a new process for communicating its future workforce needs.

The union council is set to review the offers on September 17, after which members will vote electronically from September 24 to October 1. If ratified, the agreement would run until October 11, 2030.
