Boeing Optimistic on 737 MAX 10 Certification 'Very Soon'

Boeing's CEO Kelly Ortberg is optimistic about the certification of its new aircraft, the 737 MAX 10. Speaking at the Morgan Stanley Laguna Conference, Ortberg said that the company has completed all the necessary flight testing and is now in the final documentation phase with only three deliverables remaining for the FAA.

The Boeing CEO stated that the company is in close coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to complete the documentation process. He also mentioned that the certification of the MAX 10 will happen 'very soon'. The aircraft has already undergone extensive testing, including 976 flights and over 2,060 flight hours, covering features such as landing gear, braking systems, engine anti-ice changes, and enhanced angle-of-attack system.

Boeing has begun producing the MAX 10 at its Everett, Washington facility, with a plan to produce two aircraft per month. The company aims for the new production line to reflect around 30% of MAX output. Despite the progress, Boeing still targets initial customer deliveries in 2027.
