Boeing Pledges $87 Million to Kenyan Families Hit by 737 MAX Crash

Boeing has agreed to pay $87.3 million in compensation to the families of 32 Kenyans who died in the 2019 Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash.

The payment is part of a $444.5 million fund established under Boeing's 2025 non-prosecution agreement with the US Department of Justice.

According to Manuel von Ribbeck of Ribbeck Law Chartered, which represents 93 families affected by the two 737 MAX disasters, Boeing will begin compensating their clients immediately.

The compensation comes over seven years after the crash, which killed all 157 people on board, including 32 Kenyans, on March 10, 2019. The same Boeing aircraft model had crashed in Indonesia just months earlier, killing all 189 people aboard.
