Boeing Pledges Revised Proposal for PIA Fleet Modernization Amid Talks with Pakistan
A meeting between Pakistani Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb and Boeing's President of Global Dr. Brendan Nelson has advanced talks on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) fleet modernization.
The discussion took place on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2026.
Federal Minister Aurangzeb welcomed Boeing's confirmation that a revised proposal for new aircraft acquisition would be shared with PIA, and both sides discussed exploring earlier delivery slots and interim leasing arrangements.
