A new Netflix documentary is shedding light on Boeing's safety culture, featuring whistleblower allegations of scrap parts being put back on airplanes for years.

According to 'Freefall: A Reckoning for Boeing', employees at the Boeing 787 Dreamliner factory in Charleston claim that the company's schedule-driven culture pushed workers to bypass inspections.

'It's a race to the bottom with managers, and it's everybody trying to keep up schedule,' whistleblower Merle Meyers said in the documentary's trailer.

KIRO hosts Jim Dever and Angela Poe Russell expressed their concerns about the allegations, with Dever stating that 'you can't have accidents like doors blowing off of airplanes'.
