Boeing Scores $156 Million Navy Contract for Engine Kits
Boeing has secured a significant contract with the U.S. Navy worth up to $156.2 million, adding to its defense business pipeline. The deal covers the production and delivery of engine kits for P-8A aircraft and C-40A Clipper spare engines. Production will take place in Tukwila, Washington, with completion targeted for August 2031.
The contract includes as many as 31 engine build-up kits for P-8A aircraft, with 18 intended for the Navy and the remaining 13 supporting foreign military sales customers. Additionally, two quick engine-change kits will be provided for C-40A Clipper spare engines.
While the maximum contract value does not represent immediate revenue, as funding will depend on orders placed over time, the award provides Boeing with additional visibility into future defense-related work and extends its relationship with the U.S. Navy.
