Boeing Scores Big with $170M in Navy, Air Force Deals
Boeing has secured two significant contracts worth over $170 million from the US Navy and Air Force. The largest deal, valued at $156 million, involves supplying up to 31 P-8A engine build-up kits to the Navy and its Foreign Military Sales customers. These kits will be used in anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, maritime domain awareness, and search and rescue operations.
The work on these kits will be performed at Boeing's facility in Tukwila, Washington, and is expected to be completed by August 2031. The Navy will receive 18 of the kits, while Foreign Military Sales customers will get 13. Other engine components are also included in this agreement.
A separate deal worth $17.6 million involves installing an electronic warfare system on F-15 fighter-jet training equipment for Japan's military. This agreement includes software development and testing, simulator software updates, and courseware development for aircrew and aircraft maintenance.
The work on this project will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by February 28, 2031. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio awarded the contract.
