Boeing has secured its first full-rate production order for the MH-139A Grey Wolf helicopter, following the U.S. Air Force’s declaration of initial operating capability earlier this year. The contract covers four helicopters, bringing the total number under contract to 42, with 27 already delivered by Boeing.

The MH-139A is designed to safeguard the nation’s strategic missile fields and other critical assets, marking a significant step in its operational deployment. Kathleen Jolivette, Vice President and General Manager of Vertical Lift Programs at Boeing Defense, Space & Security, emphasized that this milestone confirms the helicopter’s readiness to support the Air Force’s mission.

The latest order is expected to accelerate the Air Force’s plans for fielding and modernizing its helicopter fleet as Boeing ramps up production for full operational use. This development underscores the growing role of the MH-139A in securing vital national infrastructure.
