Boeing Secures Major Contract for MQ-25A Production
Boeing has secured a major contract worth up to $552.053 million to produce three MQ-25A Stingray aircraft and advance procurement for long lead components supporting three additional Lot 2 aircraft.
The U.S. Navy awarded the modification under contract N0001922C0048, originally granted to Boeing in 2022 for MQ-25A Lot 1 advance acquisition work.
According to the Navy, this is a significant step towards establishing an operational unmanned aircraft within the carrier air wing, reducing the requirement for F/A-18E/F Super Hornets to perform tanker duties and allowing more crewed fighters to remain available for combat missions.
