Boeing Sees Increased Demand Amid Strategic Business Shifts
OneDigital Investment Advisors LLC recently purchased a new position in shares of The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA), valued at approximately $14,993,000. This is not an isolated incident, as other hedge funds and institutional investors have also bought and sold shares of the company.
The Boeing Company's commercial airplanes division has seen increased demand for its narrow-body aircraft, with Avolon agreeing to lease up to seven Boeing 737-8200 aircraft to India's Akasa Air. This deal supports continued growth in one of the aviation industry's fastest-growing markets.
On the other hand, some analysts view Boeing's sale of Wisk Aero and other non-core businesses as a way to exit struggling operations while retaining exposure to emerging technologies.
