Boeing Settles FAA Fine Amid Ongoing Regulatory Challenges
Airline giant Boeing has settled a $3.1 million fine imposed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) related to multiple safety violations, including a door-plug blowout incident on an Alaska Airlines 737 Max 9 in January 2024.
The FAA initially proposed the penalty in September 2025, but the settlement was only made public recently. Additional allegations involved Boeing employees interfering with FAA safety personnel.
Boeing's Price-to-Sales (P/S) ratio stands at 1.74, slightly below its historical median of approximately 1.8x, signaling the market's tempered expectations for future growth in a company currently unprofitable and cash-flow negative.
