Boeing Settles with DOJ Over Fatal 737 MAX Crashes
Boeing has reached an agreement with the US Department of Justice (DoJ) over two fatal crashes involving its 737 MAX aircraft, which killed a total of 346 people in Indonesia and Ethiopia over five years ago.
The agreement comes after prosecutors concluded that Boeing flouted an earlier settlement addressing the disasters. The DoJ had previously addressed the issue with a settlement, but it appears Boeing did not comply with the terms.
Boeing said Monday it had reached a deal with the US Department of Justice over two fatal 737 MAX crashes. The company made no further comments on the matter.
