Boeing Shares Plummet Amidst Aircraft Orders and Labor Uncertainty
Boeing shares declined despite two major aircraft orders from Turkish Airlines and Biman Bangladesh Airlines. The airline deals include 100 737-8 planes, with options for another 50 737 MAX jets, and 11 aircraft including five 787-10 Dreamliners and six 737-8s.
The news weighed on the broader market, with industrials falling 0.61% and the S&P 500 slipping 0.26%. This added pressure to Boeing after its shares gained on Wednesday due to easing labor concerns.
However, President Donald Trump highlighted the aircraft agreements as a boost for U.S. manufacturing and exports, reinforcing demand across Boeing's narrowbody and widebody portfolios.
