Boeing Software Glitch Hits Indian-Operated Planes

A software glitch has been detected in some Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, according to reports. The issue is related to the automated flight guidance system becoming unavailable under certain conditions during landing. As many as 96 Indian-operated planes could be affected by this problem.

The issue was found by Boeing itself and informed to operators, who will carry out a software update to fix it. The glitch occurs when there is a change in the flight path and the system switches to a new approach path for landing instead of the initially planned route.

Air India Express has 53 Boeing aircraft, while Akasa Air operates 43. Both airlines are working with Boeing to address the issue. Although the glitch may surface when there is a change in the flight path, Boeing clarified that it would not prevent pilots from flying the aircraft.
