Boeing Software Issue Found in Akasa's 737 MAX Fleet

Akasa Air has issued a statement regarding a software issue affecting some Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The airline confirmed it is closely coordinating with Boeing and emphasized that there is no impact on the safety of its operations.

The issue was flagged by Boeing, which detected a problem in some 737 MAX aircraft where the automated flight guidance system could disengage after a missed landing approach.

According to sources, the issue could affect certain Boeing 737 MAX aircraft if the subsequent approach path differs from the one originally planned. Boeing has issued an advisory to operators to reset the system following a missed approach as a precautionary measure.

Akasa Air operates 43 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in India, alongside Air India Express which has around 53 such planes.
