Boeing Software Issue Won't Halt 737 Max Deliveries, Says Ryanair
Ryanair Holdings Plc has downplayed concerns about delivery delays for Boeing Co.'s newest 737 Max aircraft variant. The certification of the jet was pushed back due to a software issue, but Ryanair's CEO Michael O'Leary believes it will not significantly impact deliveries.
O'Leary stated at a briefing in Poland on Tuesday that Ryanair does not expect 'substantial delays' from the software issue. He acknowledged that the extent of the problem is unknown, but expressed confidence in Boeing's ability to resolve it.
The 737 Max 10 variant was expected to enter service soon after certification, which has been delayed due to concerns about the aircraft's MCAS system. The delay has raised fears among airlines and investors about the potential impact on deliveries and revenue.
