Boeing Stakes Claim in eVTOL Market with Archer Deal

Instruments

Boeing has signed agreements to support Poland's AH-64E Apache fleet. Meanwhile, Archer Aviation is set to benefit from a deal with Boeing that will see the company take a 19.75% stake in Archer and receive three businesses - Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid.

The agreement creates a broader platform for Archer spanning eVTOL, autonomous aircraft, drones, defense, and AI-powered airspace management.

As part of the deal, Boeing will sell three businesses to Archer while also entering a technology-sharing agreement with the company. This move is seen as a strategic offload for Boeing and a de-risking step for Archer, converting pure eVTOL optionality into a broader aerospace platform.
