Boeing Stock News: NewEdge Wealth Acquires Shares Amid Labor Uncertainty
NewEdge Wealth LLC has acquired shares of The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) in the second quarter, purchasing 6,423 shares worth approximately $1.39 million, according to its most recent disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
This is not the only institutional investor to have recently bought or sold BA shares. Vanguard Group Inc., for instance, grew its holdings by 5.1% in the fourth quarter, buying an additional 3.46 million shares during that period.
The Boeing Company's stock has been impacted by various factors, including labor uncertainty. The U.S. State Department approved a potential $4.5 billion sale of KC-46A tanker aircraft to Qatar, which supports Boeing's defense backlog but requires finalization. Additionally, the company's agreement with Archer Aviation may generate cash and provide exposure to autonomous and electric aviation markets.
However, some analysts have expressed concerns about Boeing's prospects. Barclays downgraded BA shares from an 'equal weight' rating to an 'underweight' rating in a research note on August 11th, while The Goldman Sachs Group downgraded the stock from a 'buy' rating to a 'hold' rating in a report on the same day.
