Boeing Stock Plunges Amid Production Delays and Cash Flow Concerns
Boeing's stock price plummeted to $201.96 on September 16 after the company's CEO, Kelly Ortberg, revealed that production delays would impact cash flow and revenue.
The issue lies in stabilizing production of the 737 MAX, which is crucial for generating cash due to high demand. Boeing aims to produce 47 aircraft per month but faces challenges with wing production, limiting its ability to meet this goal.
Additionally, the 787 production ramp-up to 10 aircraft per month has slowed down, causing further concern. Boeing's current order backlog is a record-breaking $715 billion, including $597 billion in commercial-airplane orders.
