Boeing's stock price has stabilized near recent highs as engineers' union contract talks resume and a long-term F-15 deal provides defense revenue potential. As of August 31, 2026, Boeing shares closed at $209.82, within the 52-week range of $176.77 to $254.35.

The engineers' union, representing around 17,000 workers, rejected Boeing's proposed four-year contract on August 21, 2026. The Technical Unit voted 71.87% against the offer, while the Professional Unit voted 64.25% against it, with strike authorization support reaching 87.82% and 89.71%, respectively.

The current contracts expire on October 6, 2026, leaving only a few weeks to negotiate new terms before potential disruptions to engineering and certification work that are crucial for Boeing's commercial recovery.

A newly awarded framework contract with the U.S. Air Force provides long-term visibility for Boeing's defense segment. The contract has a maximum value of $131.23 billion, with only $343,740 obligated at award, representing research, development, test, and evaluation funding in fiscal 2026.
