Archer Aviation has agreed to acquire three businesses from Boeing in a deal that will see Boeing take nearly a 20% stake in Archer. The acquired companies are Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Insitu.

The acquisition combines Archer's eVTOL platform with autonomous-flight, air-traffic-management, and military drone technologies. Boeing retains access to Wisk's core autonomy technology.

Wisk has completed over 1,700 flight tests across six generations of eVTOL aircraft, while Insitu has fielded more than 3,500 uncrewed aircraft systems for armed forces in 35 countries.

The combined businesses have nearly 2 million flight hours and will support Archer's ZEE physical-AI platform.
