Boeing Tests Manned-Unmanned Teaming Software Successfully
Boeing has announced a successful test of its manned-unmanned teaming software during the Emerald Flag military exercise at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. The test demonstrated seamless command and control between a Beechcraft 1900D and an E90 King Air over the military's primary communications network, Link 16. Boeing indicated that this capability is intended for future integration with the MQ-25A Stingray and F/A-18 Super Hornet, pending further testing and evaluation.
In a separate announcement on October 5, Boeing revealed a significant defense production contract with Lockheed Martin. The deal, valued at approximately USD 14.70 billion, is aimed at scaling production and delivering PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement seekers over a seven-year period. Boeing Investor Relations noted that the framework is designed to triple PAC-3 MSE seeker production.
Looking ahead, Boeing plans to release its third-quarter 2026 financial results on October 27. Management will discuss the results and the company's outlook during a scheduled conference call.
