Boeing to Deliver First MQ-25A Stingray Uncrewed Refueling Aircraft in 2029

The U.S. Navy has awarded Boeing a $562 million contract to produce the first three MQ-25A Stingray uncrewed refueling aircraft, with initial deliveries expected in 2029.

The contract marks the transition of the program from development and testing into low-rate production, following the program's Milestone C approval in May. The Navy plans to acquire a total of 76 aircraft under the MQ-25A program of record.

Capt. Daniel Fucito, the Navy's Unmanned Carrier Aviation program manager, said the production contract brings the aircraft closer to operational service, citing its ability to deliver advanced reach, lethality, and survivability for warfighters.
