Boeing to Pay Kenyan Families $87 Million for Ethiopian Airlines Crash

Boeing has agreed to pay $87.3 million in compensation to the families of 32 Kenyans who died in the 2019 Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash.

The payment is part of a larger fund established under Boeing's non-prosecution agreement with the US Department of Justice, which totals $444.5 million.

The compensation comes over seven years after the Boeing 737 MAX crashed near Addis Ababa, killing all 157 people on board.

Manuel von Ribbeck of Ribbeck Law Chartered, who represents the families affected by the two crashes, said that Boeing will begin compensating them immediately.
