Boeing Transfers Units to Archer Aviation for Stake

Boeing is reshaping its advanced aviation portfolio through an equity deal with Archer Aviation. The aerospace corporation will receive a stake in Archer, while transferring three of its units to the company.

The deal involves Wisk Aero, a developer of electric autonomous air taxis; SkyGrid, which creates digital solutions for airspace and air traffic management; and Insitu, a maker of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Archer will receive newly issued shares equivalent to 19.75% of its total shares before the deal is completed. Afterward, Boeing's stake in Archer will be approximately 16.5%.
